Enhance Your Practice

Creative professionals and the organisations that work with them are increasingly aware of the need to maintain optimal health to meet the psychological and physical demands of a career in the performing arts. Since our establishment in 1984, BAPAM has grown to become the largest provider of clinical services across the sector, working with artists and technicians, unions, educators, employers, and support organisations. We are uniquely placed to build connections between healthcare practitioners and the creative industry. Getting involved with BAPAM is an opportunity to join a growing peer network and enhance your practice.

Through training, practice and research we aim to further clinical standards for healthcare in the arts. We partner with academic institutions and medical researchers to contribute to developing understanding and effective clinical practice.

We provide specialist training in key areas of performing arts healthcare, in collaboration with leading specialists and partners including the UCL Performing Arts Medicine MSc group.

We work with clinicians providing assessment services to our clients in BAPAM clinics.

Our Directory of Practitioners lists experts in performing arts health, and is free to join.
