Angela Clerkin is a qualified Integrative & Transpersonal Counsellor MBACP working with musicians, designers, dancers, directors and writers. Prior to therapy training Angela worked as an actor, writer and director for more than 25 years. She continues to work part-time in the creative industries, recently as an Associate Director on a touring musical and as Creative Facilitator leading Improvisation workshops at the Globe Theatre.

As a therapist, Angela works holistically, offering creative techniques and somatic work as part of her approach to those who want that in addition to talking therapy. Her experience gives her a deep understanding and insights into the challenges around performance stress, touring, mental health, addiction issues, grief, anxiety, trauma, power dynamics, managing health issues, menopause, relationship difficulties, co-dependancy, sexuality and gender identity, social and emotional issues, loneliness, self-esteem and confidence.

Angela enjoys working with people from diverse cultures, genders, sexualities, religions and faiths, and has experience of working with neurodiverse people including those with ADHD, dyslexia and OCD. “Whatever brings you to therapy is where we begin – I look forward to us working together”.
