Emer Lauchlan is a Physiotherapist and Pilates teacher, combining pilates and hands-on manual therapy to improve patient function and pain. Emer works at multiple West End shows with experience in TV, opera and circus. She specialises in vocal physiotherapy, with a particular interest in altered biomechanics and breathing patterns.
Emer uses a holistic approach to achieve the best patient outcomes, utilising both Reformer and Matwork to address weakness and instability. This treatment approach is particularly effective for those on the hypermobile spectrum. Emer can help with issues relating to TMJ related disorder, vocal disorders e.g. muscle tension dysphonia, MSK related injuries both acute and chronic, pain related to hypermobility disorders inc EDS, biomechanical imbalances, and postural imbalances. Emer also provides manual therapy, advanced dry needling including electro-acupuncture, laryngeal mobilisations, pilates strengthening both matwork and reformer, kinesiology taping and BFR training.
