Nathan Gardner is a Pilates teacher and teacher trainer, specialising in injury prevention and recovery for performing artists and athletes. A former professional skier representing Great Britain throughout the 1990’s, Nathan has over 35 years of multidisciplinary experience in physical and mental conditioning. He has supported a wide range of athletes and performers throughout this time, working with grassroots and international level performers alike.

As a member of the treatment department and teaching faculty at Urdang, Department of Performing Arts, City St. Georges, University of London, Nathan supports the rehabilitation and performance enhancement of musical theatre and music students, alumni and university staff. He also provides these services through his private practice, NRG Pilates. His pragmatic performance centred approach utilises a heterogeneous methodological framework, providing practical individualised solutions for performers during injury recovery and those looking to maximise their functionality and performance.

In addition to his teaching practice, Nathan is deeply committed to movement teacher education. He is the founder of the KineticNRG Movement Teaching Academy, providing comprehensive training, continuing professional development (CPD), and peer support for movement teaching professionals across a range of disciplines. He also continues to lead the Level 4 Pilates and Performance programmes he developed for Body Control Pilates, one of the leading providers of Pilates teacher training in the UK.
