Sally J Freeman is an HCPC Accredited Clinical Dietitian specialising in Music, Arts, and Performance Nutrition. With over 25 years in the music industry and experience in working with artists globally, Sally understands the unique physical and mental demands of live performance, touring, and high-pressure creative environments. Working within the NHS Sally has specialised in healthy eating, mental health, eating disorders, neurodivergency, women and maternal health and gut health.
Sally provides bespoke, evidence-based nutritional strategies tailored to artists, musicians, crew, and production teams, focusing on optimal performance, recovery, and equipping them for long-term well-being. Her evidence based approach integrates Nutrition, Sleep, Movement, and Stress Management to sustain health throughout the performance lifecycle.
Sally offers dietary assessments, anthropometric measurements, biochemical data review, MDT clinical assessments, interpretations of laboratory tests, allergy & intolerance testing, nutritional screening tools e.g., MUST, enteral and parenteral nutrition, specialist diets e.g. low FODMAP, gluten-free, diabetic, obesity. She also provides advise and support Breast Feeding Mothers, gives consultations to facilitate breast feeding, and consults with Mothers to promote good mental health on birth/sign posting for psychosis/relaxation therapies and managing breast feeding while working.
