Tim Robins is a qualified Integrative Relational Counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). Since 2021 Tim has been working at Trinity Laban, providing time limited therapy for musicians, vocalists, dancers, composers and actors, across a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship problems, self and identity problems and grief. Tim has also provided open ended/long term therapy in the Minster Centre Psychotherapy and Counselling Service (MCPCS).

Before training to be a therapist, Tim performed nationally and internationally as a drummer in rock bands. He draws on this direct experience of performing and recording, creative process and touring life to assist his clinical therapy work with a variety of clients in the arts and creative industries.

Tim draws on a range of therapy approaches in his practice: psychodynamic/psychodynamic, body psychotherapy/somatic psychology, trauma-informed, humanistic and existential approaches, underpinned by contemporary relational neuroscience and interpersonal neurobiology. He adopts a holistic approach, looking at the whole person in context to work with all dimensions of client experience. Tim operates within a social justice framework. He is a diversity inclusive therapist, welcoming all clients to his practice, and encouraging dialogue about all aspects or 'intersections' of his clients' identities. He sees therapy as a process that can contribute to positive social change, contest power and discrimination, and help to create a more inclusive, equal and humane society.

Tim can help with issues relating to ADD / ADHD, addictions, anxiety, autism spectrum, bereavement, child related issues, chronic fatigue syndrome / ME, cultural issues, depression, health related issues, identity issues, loss, men's issues, mood disorder, neurodiversity, obsessions, OCD, personal development, phobias, post-traumatic stress, redundancy, relationships, self esteem, self-harm, sex-related issues, sexual identity, sexuality, spirituality, stress, trauma, vegan allied, work related issues. Tim also has experience working in mental health and disability support at various London universities, and in home care for individuals with brain injuries and neurological conditions.

Tim is currently finishing advanced training, with an MA in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling.
