Tom Wegg-Prosser is an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (BABCP) with a decade of experience helping individuals overcome personal challenge and create meaningful change in their lives. Areas of expertise include low mood, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, performance anxiety and OCD.
Before pursuing a career in psychotherapy, Tom spent several years in the music industry, first working behind the scenes and later as a touring musician. When deciding to step away from the stage, he was drawn to helping others, retraining as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and pivoting his career to supporting individuals to make sense of challenge and difficulty with their emotional and mental wellbeing.
In his practice, Tom offers Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) alongside approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and mindfulness-based therapies. These frameworks are designed to support clients to cultivate psychological flexibility, rebalancing their relationship with their thoughts and moving them toward a more fulfilling future.
“At the heart of my approach is the creation of a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their experiences. Whether the focus is on improving relationships, navigating career changes, managing stress, or enhancing self-understanding, I collaborate closely with each individual working towards their goals.”
